On November 21, over 20 Chinese and international experts and scholars from Italy, France, Pakistan, and other regions gathered for the “International Shaoxing: Towards a Bright Future” research collaboration event, held by Shaoxing People’s Hospital in partnership with the Zhejiang (Shaoxing) Base of the China Association for Science and Technology’s Service Center for Overseas Professionals Program.
The conference focused on frontier medical technology, scientific outcome transformation, and high-level talent cultivation, with keynote lectures from experts from New York University, the University of Genoa, and Shaoxing People’s Hospital on topics such as label-free diagnostics using holographic microscopy, optical fiber devices for cancer treatments, and personalized 3D solutions for faster healing.
The event aimed to strengthen connections between domestic and international resources, foster collaborations among universities, research institutions, and medical organizations, and enhance Shaoxing’s global influence in scientific cooperation. Looking ahead, plans include the creation of the Zhejiang Provincial International Joint Laboratory to drive innovation and attract global expertise to Shaoxing, supporting the region’s medical advancements and contributing to the construction of a “Healthy Shaoxing.”
