To promote innovation, entrepreneurship, connectivity, and collaboration between Chinese and international friends in Shaoxing and contribute to the development of the “Belt and Road” initiative in Shaoxing, on January 20, 2024, the Keqiao District Science and Technology Bureau, Keqiao District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Keqiao District Science and Technology Association, Shaoxing Jinkexiao Science and Technology City, and Anchang Street Office jointly hosted the “Belt and Road, China and the World – 2024 Shaoxing Tech Workers’ New Year Vision Gala.” This event took place at the International Center for Scientist Exchange in the Zhejiang (Shaoxing) High-Level Foreign Talent Innovation Agglomeration Zone.
During the event, Chen Xiangping, a renowned Lian Hua Lao artist entertained the audience with traditional Shaoxing folk performances, including “Good Luck and Prosperity” and “Cheers to You with a Glass of Shaoxing Wine.” Attendees were also presented with Chinese calligraphy cards as a symbol of good fortune.
Academician Bhekie Mamba delivered a speech for this event and introduced the UNISA, and other special guests shared their achievements in their respective fields:
– Associate Professor Masood Varshosaz from the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Shaoxing University, introduced the latest developments at the institute.
– Associate Professor Aminreza Varshosaz from Shaoxing University discussed “Advancements in Autonomous Trajectory Planning through Learning.”
– Denis Garoli, a senior researcher and team leader at the Italian Institute of Technology, as well as a professor at China Jiliang University, presented his research achievements in the field of Green and Sustainable Smart Textiles.
– Wang Chuanyue, founder and chairman of Zhejiang Meihua Dingchang Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., shared insights into “Micosphere Long-acting Injection R&D and Industrialization Technology Platform.”
Following these presentations, 16 technology professionals engaged in discussions and shared their experiences in innovation and entrepreneurship in Shaoxing. This session was moderated by Jean-guy Alex Fontanie, the head of the Jean-guy Lab.
This event serves as an opportunity for the innovation and entrepreneurship community to call for an open-minded and practical approach to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between countries, striving for shared prosperity and development.
